THE HISTORY
 At it's early beginnings, shipping and forwarding state agency,
known with the name ADETARE, was the only shipping agency
in Albania . Centered in Durres it covered all ports of Albania
, facing a big work volume. In 1984, as a consequence of a
bilateral state agreement , began the first ferry- boat line
Trieste - Durres -Trieste of Adriatica Venezia company and
Adetare was established as agent of the company. After 1990,
with the beginning of a demokratin era in our country, increased
others ferry-boat lines with other destinations as Bari ,
Ancona , Coper.The bulk of the work of this agency increased
in an exponential way because besides the ordinary work with the
traditional ferries , increased the work with the ferry-boat
lines. Adetare continued till 1996, the year in which the
agency changed its name, in Shipping and Forwarding State
Agency , Taulantia. At this time, a cooperation agreement
between the ferry-boat company Adriatica Navigazione Venezia
and Taulantia agency, was signed in which Taulantia was nominated
as the General Agent for Albania of Adriatica's Company. In
1999 it transforms from state enterprise into a joint-stock
company. As it still today, although it operates with just
only one ferry-boat line, Durres-Bari-Durres and with the
volume of 400.000 passengers per year. In 2003 the Tirrenia
company di Navigazione Napoli and Taulantia nominated as General
Agent of Tirrenia Company in Albania.
